CARENSA- Mauritius Workshop, 14-20 November 2004, Mauritius The event although covering CARENSA latest developments and the SADC region, also focused on Policy issues in large-scale renewable energy development in Mauritius, Cogeneration experience in Mauritius, large scale ethanol production in Mauritius and research for sustainable development in cane industry. The workshop included a stakeholders meeting & a technical visit. This workshop will impact development & policy issues since the stakeholder groups participating include the Mauritius Sugar Industry Research Institute, the Mauritius Sugar Authority, the University of Mauritius and the private sector.
